OUR MISSION |

At Absolute Health Clinic we promote a patient-centered
approach. We recognize that each patient is
unique, as are the problems that you present
to us. We are concerned about your total wellness
from a preventative standpoint and our aim is
to treat the cause of disease, pain, and injury.
Our goal is to develop a personalized treatment
and health regime for each patient, considering
causative factors such as stress, fitness, nutrition,
and biomechanical factors, in order to help
prevent the recurrence of symptoms in the future.
Our doctors and therapists continue to update
their knowledge of leading edge, evidence-based
methods of evaluation and treatment.

Dr. James Fung received
his undergraduate degree in Medical Genetics
and Molecular Biology from University of Toronto
and following that attended the Canadian Memorial
Chiropractic College. He is an experienced Pettibon
practitioner and has a special interest in sports
injury and extremity medicine. He is also a
certified Trigenics practitioner and instructor.
He has developed Trigenics Sport specific augmentation
programs for avid athletes, especially competitive
swimmers and golfers. Dr. Fung is also very
active in safety training and providing public
lecture on “heart smart and first aid and CPR
training.

Dr.
Proctor has been practicing chiropractic in
Toronto since 1993. She has received her certification
in Spinal Biomechanics and Posture Rehabilitation
from the Pettibon Biomechanics Institute. Dr.
Proctor is also a registered holistic nutritionist.
Dr. Proctor has been with Absolute Health Clinic
since 2001.

Dr. Mary-Ellen
Kelly is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.
She received her undergraduate degree from Mc
Master University and following that attended
the Canadian college of Naturopathic Medicine
in Toronto. She also attended the Toronto Institute
of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture for further
study in Acupuncture. Mary-Ellen has been in
practice in Toronto’s west end for 8 years ands
was voted “Best Naturopath” in the Guardian’s
Readers’ Choice Awards in 2002 and was nominated
for best Naturopath in 2003 and 2004. She has
been with Absolute Health Clinic since 2000.
Mary-Ellen focuses on an integrated, patient-centered,
evidence - based approach with each person, formulating
an individualized treatment plan to include
physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual factors
in health and well-being. The goal is to treat
the cause of disease using natural and effective
therapies including acupuncture, botanicals,
homeopathy, therapeutic supplementation, nutrition,
detoxification protocols and lifestyle modification.

Soo-Jung Han attained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, and her designation as a Naturopathic Doctor from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.  She strives to find and treat the root cause of disease and focuses on prevention before disease occurs. She appreciates that each person is different and treats each person by tailoring treatments to individual needs. Soo has a special interest in weight loss. This condition affects more than 50% of the population and can lead to some of society’s most chronic diseases. She enjoys working with patients to achieve their health goals using natural and effective means that have been time tested and are evidence based. Soo believes in the principles of naturopathic medicine.

Cheryl is a registerted massage therapist
and has been in practice for 13 years. She
has joined Absolute Health Clinic since
2006. She has a fun and easy going
personality. She also enjoys playing ice

Robert Seto
Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) |

Robert
is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan School of Massage
Therapy. He has been practicing in Toronto for
13 years. Robert uses a variety of Swedish massage
techniques and specializes in deep tissue therapy.
He has extensive experience treating clientele
with a wide range of goals, including athletes,
and expectant mothers. Robert enjoys leading
a fairly active outdoor life himself, as he
regularly participates in long distance races
for charity, baseball, and walking his dogs
in the park.
